Worship

Our worship service follows the orders of Divine Service in the Lutheran Service Book.

.

The service is projected and is available in the hymnal. We have Holy Communion each week.  We believe in the bodily presence of the Body and Blood of Christ.  Visitors are invited to sign our guest book in the narthex and fill out the information card so that we can contact you.  Everyone is encouraged to come to the altar during communion. We stand for Communion to help elderly or other impaired individuals feel comfortable at the altar.   Children and those who will not be receiving communion will receive a blessing from the Pastor. Crossing your arms over your chest will alert the Pastor that you do not wish to receive communion. Crossing your wrists in front of you after recieving the Host, alerts the Pastor that your wish to recieve the common cup chalice rather than the individual cups.

We are a handicapped accessible church with 4 pews with spaces for wheel chairs or other assistive devices. We have an elevator for access to the choir loft and the fellowship hall area.

Church begins at 10:00. Our security policy is to lock the doors at 10:10. The ushers will admit latecomers.

We actively support the Center for Pregnancy Choices, by sponsoring the nursing room in their new facity and ongoing needs to support the Pro-Life organization. Donations have been gathered for Loves Kitchen, and Wesley House as well as specific needs as they arise.

A variety of outreach ministries are planned during the year, including the annual cookie bake with students from the Naval Air Station. VBS is another opportunity for outreach. The Easter Egg hunt is also open to the community. We regularly have a booth at Earth's Bounty to reach out with God's love to the community
Human Care
Human Care gives us the opportunities to serve others in need. Members who are sick or in need can reach out to the Pastor or human care chair for help and prayers.
