Happy birthday and God’s blessings to Steven Miller on Tuesday, January 14th.

Thank you to everyone who helped put away the Christmas decorations after church last Sunday. Many hands made light work!

Church council meets on Wednesday, January 15th, at 6:30 p.m.

Pastor will begin teaching a 6-week study on our Lenten theme, Savior, Servant, Friend, on Sunday morning, March 9th. The cost of a study guide is $7.99; however, a little bit more to defer the cost of shipping would be welcomed. Sunday, January 29th is the deadline to let me know if you would like to have a study guide so that I can place an order while the supplier has ample stock, and we can get them and distribute them before Pastor’s class begins.

Portals of Prayer for the first quarter of this year are on the right-side narthex table.

The usher schedule still needs a few volunteers.

Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler’s Lutheran Hour sermon on Sunday is titled “What’s This Neighborhood Coming To?” and is based on John 1:14. The sermon tells us that when you’re not limited to the size of your table, you can invite everyone.

Lutherans For Life quote: From the moment you were being knitted together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), God began His careful construction of His chosen jewel of redemption. Rev. Adam Osier, Dean, Free Lutheran Bible College, Plymouth, Minnesota

Verse if the week: Alleluia. You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased. Alleluia. Mark 1:11b

Serving on Sunday are: Kelly Miller – elder, Dana Cockrell and Lisa Bielefeld – ushers, Linda Abel – music, and Kim Pryor – communion clean-up

Blessings to each of you and stay warm!
